To access this page you select Filings-Action Queue. The screen is titled My Queue Entries.
After a submission has gone through the clerk review process and the documents and information are recorded in the case management and imaging system there times when the clerk, judge, or judicial assistant still have work to do regarding the documents that were submitted. In addition, there may be times when someone needs to assign a task that is caused by a request from a filer or a change in the case.
To accomodate the times when various tasks need to be assigned to users, the administrator of the system can create what are called Action Queues. These action queues are a way to organize the assignment of tasks. For each queue the administrator assigns various users rights to look at the queue. Anyone that has rights to look at the queue can also be assigned to entries in the queue. Since multiple people can be given rights to look at the same queue you will be able to see entries in a queue that are not assigned to you.
The default list of entries you will see on this screen will be entries that are assigned to you from all queues that you have been given rights to. By clicking on an entry you can see some detail information such as the documents associated with the entry.
Usually the name of the queue will give you enough information to determine what to do. For example if a queue is name Proposed Orders, that means a proposed order was in a submission that caused an entry to be made in the queue and the submisison needs further processing from the judge or judicial assistant. Some courts use the queues to post submission that initiate a case. Such a queue might be named Summons which tells the clerk that the entries in this queue need to have summons sent out.
If your court has established queues then they will teach you why they created the queue and what action they expect to be completed for the entries in that queue.
