
To reach this screen from the menu bar click on Accounts - Create Partner Account. The page is titled Create Company Account.
This screen is associated with the Account Settings menu item. This screen 'Create Partner Account' allows the administrator to create a new law firm, District Attorney Organizations, state agency, and so forth. We recommend that the court establish a Pro Se organization and assign all Pro Se type users to that organization. The Accounts Settings screen is really the same screen as this screen only you can edit in that screen what has been created in this screen.
As administrator you can determine if an organization is exempt from paying court fees. For example if a state agency has an organization and they do not pay court fees you would select the exempt radio button. Then when filers that belong to that organization are creating submissions they system will not ask for payment information.
It is anticipated that most organizations will be created as part of the Request Account process. During the request a user enters the organization they are associated with. If the organization is not listed the user enters the organization they are associated with. This automatically generates an organization when the new account is approved.
The IP address field at the bottom of this screen is the address of the Filers Interface that organization will use to submit filings. In most cases this is the same address for all organizations, and that is the address of the Filers Interface in the DMZ area at the courts. Organizations that are configured to submit from an external IP address will have a different IP address from those that use the courts Filers Interface.
For each organization the court can determine if they want to create administrators within an organization. An administrator for an organization means that the organization administrator can change passwords for people within their organization. The advantage of assigning organizational administrators is that when users do forget passwords they don't have to call the court, they can call their administrator. To create an administrator for an organization on the menu bar click Accounts - Accounts and Users. Then from the list of users listed in that organization click on the user that you will assign administrative rights to. Edit that users profile and check the box that gives them administrative rights to their organization.
