The wrapper certificate is used to sign each submission from the Filers Interface. Even though eFlex has two components the Filers Interface and the Clerk Review Interface that are installed and share database they are treated as separate processes communicating to each other through LegalXML packages. To increase security and prevent fraudulent LegalXML packages from being sent from untrusted IP addresses eFlex requires each Filers Interface to digitally sign the data and documents embedded in the LegalXML package. By doing this eFlex can test whether any data or documents were tampered with since the Filers Interface sent the package. The wrapper certificate configured here is for the Filers Interface installed by the court and used to sign the packages it creates.
